Hummable tunes, tap dancing and a gaggle of characters; what more could you ask for from a Cole Porter musical? ANYTHING GOES takes place on a luxury liner where passengers are leaving from New York City and heading to London. The cast ranges from sailors, entertainment workers, business men, public enemies and more.
The cast does a fantastic job keeping the audience caught up in the shenanigans happening on board. Emma Stratton is a tour de force and I can say this even though she is my sister. She encompasses the sex appeal of Reno Sweeeney, the nightclub singer. Her singing and dancing are top notch. Richard Lindenfelzer plays the quirky Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. His humor is silly but not over the top. His duet with Reno “The Gypsy in Me” is hilarious and a memorable scene in the second act. The title number “Anything Goes” is an audience favorite. How could you not enjoy an entire cast tap dancing and singing for ten minutes with bright smiles?
The show is a National Tour and on the road through May 2015. For more information, check out their website: www.anythinggoesontour.com
