Peter Pan at the Children’s Theatre Company

PETER PAN is a classic fairytale which the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis did a fabulous job of breathing life into. Peter doesn’t want to grow up and lives in a land with lost boys, pirates and other fun characters. He has lost his shadow and visits the home of Wendy, Michael and John Darling. Wendy knows many stories so Peter agrees to bring her and her brothers to Neverland with him.

Tyler Michaels who plays Peter, has a clear, pitch perfect voice. His flying is superb; I only wish I had counted how many backflips he did! Reed Sigmud (Captain Hook) and Dean Holt (Smee) make a dynamic duo. Their playfulness and humor were charming. The entire cast seemed to be having fun and the kids in the audience loved it as well.

The colorful set design by Walt Spangler and choreography by Joe Chvala made the musical even more exciting. This is one that parents and kids will both enjoy.
