This Prison Where I Live presented by Titan Theatre Company

Titan Theatre Company presented a world premiere play by Angela Iannone called THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE.  It is the second play of the Edwin Booth Trilogy and was a beautifully crafted piece of theater.  The audience was transported to 1879 where Edwin Booth is starring in Shakespeare’s Richard II and is visited by the ghost of his brother John and Edwin’s first wife.

Set in a small black box theater, five characters move around a confined stage made to look like a cell.  Tristan Colton who played John Wilkes Booth was a fabulous comic relief.  His natural ease on stage, facial expressions and sharp delivery made him an audience favorite.  I couldn’t help but connect Reese Madigan who played Edwin to Johnny Depp.  His tense demeanor and stern language were to be expected from someone who is haunted by ghosts.

Although I did not see the first part of the series, I look forward to seeing the next piece Angela Iannone writes.  The run of the show is only a week. If you miss THIS PRISON WHERE I LIVE, make sure to mark your calendar for the next upcoming Titan show, LEAR.
