Each Christmas my mom, sister and I like to attend THE NUTCRACKER together. It is a tradition that we always look forward to. Sadly this year my sister was not able to join but my mom and I had a wonderful time. The night we attended was military night. Each year the California Ballet hosts military families and does a special tribute to them. It is a very thoughtful and kind gesture.
One of the things I appreciate about the ballet is you see a wide age range of people. For this particular show, I loved seeing the little girls in beautiful dresses and family photos by decorations. It is a night that is enchanting and exciting.
After the orchestra played their introduction and the curtain began to open, the little girl behind me exclaimed “amazing!” It’s always delightful to hear young kids so excited by the dancers, costumes, set and music. This year the dancers were one of the best I’ve seen. It was truly a treat to attend the performance!
